Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Romain Cross Pointe Auto Park, a division of Romain Automotive Group with United Companies, is hiring an Accounting Assistant for our Accounting team location.  This part-time hourly and non-exempt position is responsible for Rent to Own and Buy Here Pay Here account monitoring and collections, handling the daily bank deposit and balancing of the cash drawers, and performing clerical and administrative support functions.



Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Follow company policy to manage the Rent to Own and Buy Here Pay Here accounts and collections.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Handle deposits and balancing of cash drawers.
  • Cross training with other departmental staff as assigned by management.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative support functions.
  • Travels as business needs may require.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as may be assigned by management.


Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
  • Experience:  Prior office experience, cash handling, collections experience, and automotive dealership experience preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of accounting is a plus. Must possess strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.  Must possess organizational skills and be detail oriented.  Strong verbal, written, and active listening skills.  Possess a working knowledge of basic office equipment, such as printers, copiers, faxes, and scanners.  Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Demonstrates a personal commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
